tom chiu has been in the property management business for over a decade. He has been very fair and friendly in his dealings with landlords and tenants.

Tenant of Tom's

While I'm not using Tom as a real estate agent, I am a current tenant in a building he is the property manager. He isn't only the poorest manager I've ever had. I've been waiting for 4 months now to get a simple check list of problems fixed. He's been here 4 times since the first notification in Dec 2011. To date, the only thing that was done was the painting - which I would give a passable grade to his trusted 'handyman'. I repeatedly requested prior to his last visit (early March 2012) that he step up and get this work done as we have a baby on the way and I would like to have all the work done prior to the baby arriving. 6 weeks came and went - and while I could have chased him over and over, I had to threaten to hire my own contractor to come in and do the job in order for him to get someone here. After 4 months later, he sends his handyman to do the work - blinds were the major item - and he sends PINK BLINDS! While that may be acceptable for some people, you don't put pink blinds in a rental unit - and definitely not in the bloody living room. If that's the kind of "eye for detail" he has, I would highly recommend that anyone who was/is considering him as your real estate agent look elsewhere. He's lazy, inconsiderate, unreliable and not trustworthy (he's also let himself in suites uninvited, unannounced). Worst Property manager ever.
