Very Disappointed

I arranged with this agent to view several properties. I asked him to check that all 3 were available and had no offers. He said he would. It was a 4 hour drive for me to get there. On route, he sent emails saying two were sold. Then a later message said one wasn't sold, then yet another later message said it was. So 2 of the 3 were unavailable and he was too late getting the info to me, because he failed to call the listing brokers directly to verify the information in a timely fashion, as he said he would. When we arrived at the property he had listed himself, we quickly discovered that the photos he had taken of this property did not accurately reflect its true condition: I consider the house a tear-down and the yard was abysmal. His few indoor pictures seemed carefully chosen to highlight the property's few minor strengths while hiding its many serious flaws. He had taken external pictures from as far as possible, instead of using any closeups that would reveal how bad the condition was. He made weak excuses about why the pictures didn't reflect the true condition of the property, and said "frankly I don't like to show low-value properties like this" but HE was the listing agent! I consider his sales approach to be unprofessional, sloppy and perhaps purposefully misleading. He wasted an entire day for the 3 of us plus $100 in food and travel costs, and it wasted his time too, so what was his logic? When I criticized his work, he whined that he'd been doing this for 28 years. Well, Paul, that just means that you have no excuse at all for not doing your job properly and professionally after 28 years of experience. It's not rocket science, after all.... FAIL
